The Deputy Mayor for Culture and Sports, Fernando Gilet, received a group of officers from the Spanish armed forces and their wives at Bellver Castle. The event was attended by the Honourable Adolfo Orozco, the current Military Commander of the Balearic Islands, the Honourable Emilio Roldán Pascual, the Lieutenant Colonel who is currently the Head of the UME (the Military Emergency Unit) and who was previously the General Military Commander of the Balearic Islands, the Honourable Teodoro Pou, Lieutenant Colonel and Director of the Centre of History and Military Culture of the Balearic Islands, the Honourable Colonel Jesús Álvarez and the Honourable Colonel Miguel Burguera, both of whom have links to the fortifications and local military history.

Councillor Gilet accompanied them on a visit to the monument. The group stopped off at the new visitor centre and also showed an interest in the, as yet unfinished, work in the valley of the castle.
